From the ground up, we conceptualized and designed an immersive experience that transformed the traditional holiday activation into an interactive journey for all ages. The ground breaking and award winning experience sponsored by HGTV featured an eye-catching gateway where visitors could reserve their time to experience Santa HQ, a Naughty or Nice 0’ Meter where visitors received a state-of-the-art “read” on their behavior via electronic results, and a modern workspace to create and star in an animated holiday video that can be shared with friends and family. The Pinnacle of the experience was Santa’s Observatory, an interactive experience where guests could explore groundbreaking mixed-reality animations in immersive 3D all around them. The experience, which was rolled out to a dozen Macerich centers nationally, won the Maxi Emerging Technology Silver Award for use of Augmented and Mixed Reality.
